The production of aeronautical components involves going through several processing stages. In the case of gears, Sir's robots initially handle the loading and unloading of various processing machines before proceeding to the final precision grinding and deburring of the gear teeth themselves, using dedicated tools. The configuration involves placing the workpiece on board the robot. Afterwards, suitable 3D profilometers allow for the verification of the accuracy of the gear tooth profiles in order to certify and objectify the quality of the manufacturing process performed.
