The precision grinding and deburring of components made of titanium or magnesium, often of significant size, such as compressor elements or reducers, demands a meticulous approach. In this setup, the objects are placed on a mobile positioner with controlled axes, which positions them accurately each time in the optimal position for the machining operation. Additionally, there is a dedicated storage area for pneumatic spindles that can be automatically connected or disconnected directly on the robot. As an alternative, exclusively SIR-produced electrospindles with an automatic tool change system are used.
In addition to grinding, deburring and finishing operations, further tasks such as threading and drilling can be performed on these components. The programming of all these operations is carried out in offline mode, ensuring a high level of precision and control. To guarantee optimal results during the manufacturing process, an automatic tool wear control system is implemented.
