Precision grinding and finishing of turbine blades are performed using tools positioned on rotating modular units controlled by robots. These tools are designed and manufactured by SIR with significant sensitivity to ensure high precision in the machining process. Depending on the type of tool used, compensations can be axial, single, bi-directional, or multidirectional, providing great flexibility in the machining. The setup involves placing the workpiece on board of the robot.
